Stamford Reservoir’s normal clarity is turbid with visibility 1-2 feet. Fluctuation is severe, 4-10 feet annually. Bulrush and cattail and other aquatic vegetation are present. Rock, along with fish attracting structures planted by the TPWD, make up the balance of the main structures. Crappie fishing is rated excellent with largemouth bass, catfish rated good and white bass and sunfish rated fair.
