O.H. Ivie’s water clarity consists of clear in the main lake and Concho arm with turbid waters in the Colorado arm. Catfish, crappie and white bass are rated good, largemouth bass and small mouth bass are rated fair and sunfish rated poor. Standing timber is the primary cover along with brush, as they were not cleared when inundated. Aquatic vegetation is plentiful. The structure in the main part of the lake is mostly rock with mud flats in the river arms.
