Fort Parker State Park Lake

Fort Parker State Park Lake’s normal water clarity is very turbid with fluctuation 1-2 ft. annually. This is a shallow lake because of silting. The upper 2/3 of the lake is not navigable by boat most of the time. Water is very turbid because of years of flooding from the muddy Navasota River. On the lower end of the lake, other than shoreline vegetation, little other cover exists. Catfish and crappie are tated good, largemouth bass and white bass rated fair, sunfish rated poor.
