Bonham City Lake’s water clarity is moderate with moderate fluctuation. The lake produces quality fishing for largemouth bass, crappie and sunfish. When full, the extensive cattails ringing the shoreline provides good flipping/pitching action for largemouth bass. Structure is abundant in the form of long points, rip-rap at the dam, planted brush piles, limited standing timber and a few scattered boat houses. There is a modest amount of native emergent vegetation.
