Belton Lake

Belton Lake’s water clarity is clear to partly stained with fluctuation 1-2 feet annually. With very little or no aquatic vegetation and with limited timber, fishing in the main lake is on very steep, rocky banks and long rocky points. Sand and mud flats can be found up the Leon River and Cowhouse arms. Smallmouth bass and hybrid striped bass are rated excellent, largemouth bass, white bass, crappie and sunfish good, crappie fair.
